The fashion industry wasn't so big on the African continent..,we had talent but it was very expensive to actually share it with the world. A few with money would travel overseas to go and learn and share the talent with the rest of the world. But it is different now, the African Fashion industry has gone way beyond the boarders and it is making it big in the fashion industry across the globe. We have designers showcasing their work at big fashion shows like in Paris, London and New York.

And if we talk of African best designs, we are talking of designers like Mataano (Somalia), Micley Banda and Fay designs (Zambia), Laz Yani (South Africa), Solome Katongole (Uganda), Ozwald Boateng (Ghana), Folake Folarin Coker (Nigeria), Chakirra Claasen (Namibia) these and many more brillient African designers.
