What Do You Do For Fun? Simple And Yet A Dreadful Question.

What do you do for fun? A question that mostly come on dates, sometimes on job interviews, even when you meet strangers on a bus or train. This is a very simple question which requires very simple answers and yet its the most dreaded question to most of us, simply because we don't know how to answer it or we just don't know what it means to have "fun".

They say that, if you are asked; what do you do for fun and you don't have an answer to that, it means you do NOT have a life! I somehow agree.
So, lets define FUN shall we? I will take the Wikipedia definition which states; FUN is the enjoyment of pleasure, particularly in leisure activities. I would say, having fun means doing something you enjoy, taking pleasure in some activity, doing something that amuses you.

Life is too, that's true. We are all gonna kick the bucket sooner all later..I mean, nobody is going to live over 120 years (the bible says, man is to live upto a 120 years) ;-) . So, between now and then, enjoy life and have lots of fun.

Its not difficult to  have a good time. I have a friend in Copenhagen, who somehow inspired me to write this article. He works and at the same time he knows how to have fun, he enjoys being in a company of friends and family. Sometime last month, he was with a couple of friends in Italy and I think he will be in Germany next week with some friends having a good time. When he is not working, he spends sometime with his friends and just enjoy life. Now, to me, that's having fun.

And to many of us, having fun can mean different things. For example, if you ask me, "What do you do for fun? I would list my hobbies, i.e reading, watching movies, writing etc, that sounds boring isn't it? but that's what I enjoy doing..,but again, that depends on how they question is asked or the situation.., otherwise I would add on and say; I enjoy art exhibitions, picnics, walks, taking pictures, cooking. I also love being with my friends, a few months ago, I was back home in Zambia, and my girlfriends and I decided to go on a one day trip, it was fun... click HERE if you want to see some pictures and see where we went. And a few weeks ago, my cousin, Princess Miselo and I were in Copenhagen at Tivoli, we were like little girls again, got on most rides and screamed like kids, That was fun!!

What Having Fun Means To Men

Men are easy. Having fun to most of them means hanging out with the guys and with a couple of beers, watching their favourite sport on a big screen with their pals..and of course with some liquor. Playing some computer games or some pool table. If you ask a guy what they do for fun, that's pretty much what they are gonna tell you or close.

What Having Fun Means To Women

For the ladies, this one is not so easy...because it means different things to different women and mostly it depends on their marital status. Married women and mothers would say; spending time with my husband and my children is fun. And the single ladies would say, shopping and a girls night out is fun.

Anyway, find out what makes you happy today and start doing it and enjoying it. It doesn't matter how busy your life may seem, make time for yourself to do what you enjoy doing. If you are a career/ business man/woman or a busy mother/father, you can still create some time to yourself and enjoy your life. I like the spirit of Richard Branson, for him, you have to have fun even in your busy lives, have fun while doing business. A few months ago, I read his book "Screw It, Lets Do It"..,very inspirational.

Parents, create play dates for your kids and create room for yourselves. The more you feel happy with your life and with yourself, the more you will enjoy being with your family. Same with the single people, having fun doesn't have to cost anything.., make a barbecue at home and invite family and friends over, go out for a picnic or a movie. Find a game that suits you and invite a few friends to play or just have a tea party at home...there are lots of things you can do. I will give you some ideas in my next article.... "20 Things You  Can Do For Fun With Family And Friends".

Monday

Its Valentine's Day! Be Creative, Make it Memorable.

Hello Lovers and Friends. Its February and we all know what this month is about....,LOVE! Love is in the air. Valentine's day is just around the corner. I know that lots of people are already feeling the pressure. It doesn't matter weather you are in a relationship or not, you are gonna feel the pressure a little bit. But if you are like me who don't believe in valentine's day, then that's a different story. (I believe everyday should be valentine's day).

Anyway, if you are in a relationship either a marriage relationship, a courtship relationship or whatever you are calling your relationship, you are gonna feel pressured with what to get for your partner. Getting a present for a partner on valentine's day is more difficult than getting them a Christmas present. And if you are single, I guess the pressure comes in when you start panicking and trying to find someone you are gonna kiss on that special day. Or you might be having a crush on someone and you are hoping they notice you before Valentine's day (14th February,2015...SATURDAY) .

I am not an expert on Love or romance or anything like that but I Love LOVE! lol! And everything that comes with it...,I mean the romance, the cosyness and just the whole feeling that engulf you when you are in love is fantastic. Am gonna give you a few personal tips on what you can do for your loved one this Valentine's day. I know that relationships are not perfect, you fight, you disagree on small matters, you stop talking to each other sometimes but once in a while...show some loving gestures for each other..and valentine's day is one of the special day that you wanna show your partner that you still care and love them. I know a few couples that only buy flowers for each other only on valentine's day.....yep!

Married or living together

For the Man; Gentlemen, women are very easy to impress. We are so easy that you will be amazed at the things that makes us go wild. For example, bring her some flowers and some chocolates. Then later in the evenings, take her out to a very nice restaurant for a candlelight dinner. I know maybe most of you do this more often but make it special by dressing up in your favourite suit or your tuxedo. Open the car for her, at the restaurant, pull the chair for her, remove her coat. While you wait for the food, hold her hand..,keep looking into her eyes while you talk to her. For once, switch off your phone and don't look at it the whole evening. Tell her how beautiful she looks, how much you love her..., we just love to hear you tell us all the nice things. After dinner, you can go dancing if you are a party people otherwise, take her home. If you have kids, arrange for a sleep over somewhere so that it can only be the two of you. Then play some slow jams from the 90's (if you grew up in the 90's like me) or pick your favourite love songs from your collection. Slow dance with her, make her feel like she is the only important thing to you in that very moment. Believe me, she will treat you like a king throughout the evening. And she will probably share the moment with all her close friends...so you better make it very memorable and worthy telling ;-) .

For the Woman; Ladies, this is our department..I mean we are naturally romantic. Personally, I am one of the few people I know who are hopelessly romantic...Oh YES I am LOL!. I already told you that I am in Love with Love. Well, if you are one of the 21st century DIVAS, you may wanna start off by going to the beauty parlour for a makeover. Do your nails, your hair, go to the dentist and do your teeth. do a wax in "all areas"..,yes ladies, maybe even a Brazilian wax will be good ;-) . This 2015 Valentine's day falls on a Saturday, a very good day to dump your kids at their grannies if you have kids. Then you wanna make sure you buy a very sexy french lingerie set. And a nice dress but please let it not be RED!Maybe a LBD (Little Black Dress) would be perfect. You can either take him out for dinner (and you pay for it, from the starter to dessert). Get him a perfume that he really likes or the one that you like. A shirt, some underwear would be ok too, but do something extra-ordinary. Spoil him a bit. Let him be your baby for the day, men like to be pampered too.

EMOTIONAL PAIN

I am not a psychologist or an expert. What I am going to write here is based on personal experience and I just want to share this with you. I know that there is someone somewhere reading this right now who is going through some sort of emotional pain and they need help.

Emotional pain is worse than physical pain and all of us have gone through this kind of pain in our lives in one way or the other. Maybe not worse than the next person but you have experienced it. Sometimes emotional pain is referred to as "Mental Pain". This is the kind of pain that is inside your soul, the kind of pain that makes your heart bleed without blood, the kind of pain that wants you to jump off the bridge and just say bye bye to the world, the kind of pain that just breaks you apart and you stop to exist. The kind of pain that locks you in a box and you don't want to come out.

This kind of pain is extremely dangerous because it makes you stop caring about anything, you stop caring about life and its meaning, you stop caring about your own existence. And the moment you stop caring about anything, its the moment your mind begins to wonder, it separates itself from reality and it drifts away in a very dangerous world and once you are in that world, you can do anything...and that includes suicide. Many people who commit suicide find themselves in that world and they get stuck in there unable to come out.

SHARE YOUR STORY..

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

I would love to thank each one of you for being my fan and for following my blog since i launched it almost six months ago. I love blogging and i enjoy every bit of it. I have only done it for a few months but i have loved every minute of it. There is so much more that i will be sharing with you in the months and years to come. And that been said, i would like to announce to you that there is a book coming up and if God willing, a magazine too.

This book is focused on African women of all ages and nationalities who have stories to tell, stories that will inspire and motivate other women. I have heard so many amazing and inspiring stories around the continent from women, stories that are making great impact on lives. My partner and I have decided to come up with a book that will be full of true life inspiring stories of strong African women. The book is aimed to inspire and motivate other women who maybe going through something that you went through.

There is so much pain and hurt in this world we live in. Sometimes when we are going through a hard time and we feel as if the whole world has turned against us, we tend to feel so empty and alone and most of the times we feel like we are the only ones going through what we are going through. When you are hurting and you have a huge mountain in front of you to climb, the whole world becomes black and in your mind..,nobody cares and nobody can possibly understand what you are going through. But the truth is, you are not the only one going through what you are going through and you are not the only one who went through what you went through and definitely you wont be the last one either.

As we share our stories with the world, and how we overcame that huge mountain that seemed impossible to climb at that moment, we will be helping someone somewhere to soldier on and overcome the mountain too. This will be one way of reaching out to someone out there that we cant physically reach. Everybody loves testimonies, we love to know that we are not alone fighting that battles. When we read or hear someone who went through what we are going through and came out of it victorious, we feel energized and inspired...,we then pull ourselves up because we know there is HOPE. And believe me, HOPE is the best medicine that you can give to someone who feels defeated.

If you have a story that you believe will touch someone's life and you would like your story to be published in our book, please CONTACT ME for more information and i will get back to you as soon as possible.

Here is how you are going to CONTACT ME; on the right side of the page, there is a CONTACT FORM.

I' AM A WOMAN...,

I Was Born a Winner..! Failure is not an Option.

I am one of the few people who believe that they were born winners and failure is not in my vocabulary. You know growing up in Africa particularly in Zambia's most remote areas makes you have some kind of limitations in life. In my time, in the mid 90s and early 2000, Chozi wasn't a place that can leave you with lots of imagination but somehow i had a broad imagination and i always used to see myself bigger and very successful. In those times, if i were to tell anyone who knew me in that little town what my dreams were, they would defiantly think i was going nuts. So i kept evrything pretty much to myself. I was someone who dreamt of going to Harvard University or any big University in the United Kingdom or in America, i was one of those kids who used to be very quite and day dream a lot. Am not saying that i achieved my dreams and am actually living them, and yes its been years and i never went to Harvard or anything like that. But in that same small town and my craziness imaginations and dreams, I am one of the best cream that the town has  produced because back then a huge number of girls used to drop out of school and get married and in my class (grade 7) then, we were about 70 pupils and when we wrote the exams, i came out first followed by another girl and the rest were boys. It was then that i started dreaming big. I believed and still believe that i can be anything and that i can do anything i put my minds on. Dreams of becoming a Fashion Designer kicked in, a reporter working for BBC, an Air-Hostess these and many more crazy dreams.

Am now in my late 20s and i have not yet released my dreams. I have tried and tried many things business wise. And i have worked for two companies in my life two...,i have achieved one or two things in my life but I believe I can do more. I was Born to Win and that's what am here on earth for..,Losing is not an option at all. An never gonna give up. I would rather die trying than give up. they say if you want to succeed, you get up and try again every time you fail because you might just get it right the next time you try.

Honestly, i have not idea what i am writing...,to the reader..,hope you get the point and i hope you understand what i am trying to say here. Never ever give up in life, no matter how hard it gets. if you believe in something, let that belief drive you to achieving it. Failure never never an option. Hope am making sense.

FOR STRONG WOMEN.

Not said in so many words but VIVA to every woman out there, who at one  point or the other in their lives conquered some sort of pain...,it could be some financial setbacks, barrenness, an illness, lost somebody or just anything that was so painful to you that you conquered last.

You are indeed a strong woman.

Thursday

THE SILENT CRY OF HER HEART!

She looks beautiful. Brown is the colour of her eyes,
they are so beautiful and they shine brighter than the brightest star at night.

Her smile is warm and the most welcoming.
So warm that it melts the heart of the most wicked man on earth.
And her teeth are so white like ivory.

She has the figure of a real African woman...a body like a Super model.
And when she walks, she walks majestically and gracefully...,like the queen.

She seem perfect and she seem to hold it all together and she looks like she has it all.
But she is not what she looks like from the inside.

She is lonely, she has so much love inside and she has no one to give it to.
She longs to belong to someone...,to be noticed and to be heard in silence.....,without altering word.

Who can hear her scream from within, who can see how empty her heart is? no one can because to the world, she is the beauty, the queen who has it all.

She seats and waits for someone to hear the cry of her heart.
Someone she can belong to and someone she can truly offload all the beauty and the love that she holds

Her eyes still shines and she continues to smile while she awaitsfor that someone.

LOVE IS LIKE A DRUG.

Have you ever loved someone so much that you feel you cant exits without them? Have you ever loved somebody so much that you would do just about anything to be with them? Have you ever truly loved somebody so much that the thought of them just sends a shiver all over your body? Have you ever loved somebody that all their weakness and their imperfections seem to be nothing to you. Have you ever loved someone so much that you dream about them day and night. I HAVE.

You see, love is like a drug, you cant live without it and you get so glued to it, once you have it. I would say its like a drug and the world revolves around it. Can you imagine that even God himself had to send his only son on earth because of love. Love is one of the wonderful natural gift that we enjoy as living beings in this world but love can also be very dangerous that is if it is abused or misunderstood it (my point of view anyway..).

I will put it this way,..for me, Love is like a drug. If you have it, you love it and you are addicted to it..,it feels so beautiful and you just cant live without it....(once you taste true love, you want to live with it for the rest of your life). And like a drug, once you have tastes true love (particularly by receiving) starts to vanish..., you will do just about anything to have it back, just like you would do anything for a fix if you are a drug addict.

Many people would do anything for love or to find love just like drug addicts would do anything to have a fix.

Love is one of the most beautiful natural gift given to us by God. If you have true love in your life appreciate it and be happy. And remember, love is about give and take. So in as much as you are enjoying receiving it, give it back too.

The true BEAUTY of a Woman.

The true beauty of a woman isn't in the appearance. Not in the way she looks on the outside and not for the cloths that she wears or the way that she carries herself. I believe her true beauty lies in the inside of her. She can have the most beautiful face and the most amazing body that you have never seen but if that doesn't match her inside.., then she isn't beautiful.

Actually the the true beauty of a woman has qualities. And some of these qualities are as follows;

-A kind and generous heart
-Considerate
-Smart
-Funny
-Honest
-God fearing
-Generous
-Loving
-Gentle

These and many more good qualities make a woman beautiful.

WHY WOMEN CRY..

"Why are you crying?", a young boy asked his Mom.
"Because I'm a woman", she told him.
"I don't understand", he said. His Mom
just hugged him and said,
"And you never will, but that's o.k.".......

Later the little boy asked his father,
"Why does Mom seem to cry for no reason?".
"All women cry for no reason", was all
his Dad could say......

The little boy grew up and became a
man, still wondering why women cry.
Finally he put in a call to God and
when God got back to him, he asked
"God, why do women cry so easily?"

GOD answered......

"When I made woman, I decided she had
to be special. I made her shoulders
strong enough to carry the weight of
the world, yet, made her arms
gentle enough to give comfort...

I gave her the inner strength to endure
childbirth and the rejection that
many times will come even from her own
children.

I gave her a hardness that allows her
to keep going and take care of her
family and friends, even when everyone
else gives up, through sickness and
fatigue, without complaining....

I gave her the sensitivity to love her
children under any and all
circumstances. Even when her child
has hurt her badly....

She has the very special power to make
a child's boo-boo feel better and to
quell a teenager's anxieties and fears....

I gave her strength to care for her
husband, despite faults and I fashioned
her from his rib to protect his heart....

I gave her wisdom to know that a good
husband never hurts his wife, but
sometimes tests her strengths and her
resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly....

For all of this hard work, I also gave her a tear
to shed. It is hers to use whenever needed and
it is her only weakness....

When you see her cry, tell her how much
you love her, and all that she does for everyone,
and even though she may still cry, you will
have made her heart feel good. She is special!"

WHITE WEDDING; Her DREAM...,Please give her a break! ;-)

They say a wedding is every woman's DREAM. I think I can agree with that. and its not just about the "wedding" you know....I mean the occasion itself...,for me it about the DRESS. It all starts when you are a little girl, you know..,dressing up your Barbie doll. And when you went to a wedding with your parents, you looked at the bride like she is the most beautiful woman you have ever seen all because she is wearing that beautiful white gown. you get stuck with the dream of wearing a dress like that one day when you are marrying the love of your life. Its a beautiful feeling and its a beautiful dream but things change along the way. You don't get to wear that dress but you get married anyway...,you see that dream fading away and you kind of accept it and move on with your life.

Hold on a minute lady..., now that you are already married and you didn't get to wear your dream wedding gown, who said you cant now?...I mean if its still something that you would want. There are so many reasons why you didn't wear that beautiful dress that you dreamt of all your life..., maybe you became pregnant outside wedlock and your family decided that you should just marry like that (very common in Africa). Or maybe your husband and you didn't have enough money to have a wedding or whatever reason that you have that made you not have your dream come true. I say you can still have that dream come TRUE. Read my next chapter...;

While, its your dream and why not make it a reality now. There is no rule that tells you when you can wear that dress. Ok, there is one maybe...the one that says...you have to wear it on your wedding day...so whats the point now because you are already married. My suggestion is; On your next wedding anniversary with your husband...celebrate it in style..., buy that white beautiful dress of your dream..organise your BFF and or your kids to act as bridal party..,wear that dress like its actually your wedding day...,(it wont have the meaning of course but wearing that dress is what is the most important).., let your husband dress up.., go and take lots of pictures in it and have dinner or lunch or a small party with your friends and family. There you go.,the dream doesn't have to change...its just the scenario that changes. GO GET THAT DRESS!!!!

DON'T ARGUE WITH ME,,,,,THIS IS MY TAKE, WHAT'S YOURS? hehheheheehhe!!!!

WOMAN TO WOMAN.., RESPECT and HIM.

RESPECT. What it means to your man.

You are a young woman now and there is a suitor who has come to your doorstep for your hand in marriage...,its beautiful and everyone is excited and happy for you. Your mother or anyone you are staying with would organise some elder women in your community who would sit you down and teach you how to take care of your man, how to take care of your house and your body, how to take care of his relatives etc. Anyway, this is how it goes back home as far as i know..traditionally. Its beautiful and you get all the wisdom that will help you take care of your home and your marriage......but i am hear to talk about RESPECT for the man in your life be it your husband or your boyfriend.

While, we are taught to kneel down when representing food to your husband, don't talk much when he has company, call him "bashi Chanda" (Chanda's father) in the home especially when the in-laws are around etc (traditionally. and that's what i know...) though things are done differently in the modern days..But to me, respect is more than that. Actually respect to him means more than love.

I believe a man would rather feel respected than loved (this is what i believe, you have the right to put an argument with this i don't mind but this is my opinion). You may love your man with all that you have inside of you but if you don't respect him..that love to him means absolutely nothing. A man's ego is so different from us and make sure you don't break it and disrespecting him can easily do that.

So, what do i really mean by RESPECT for your man, while..., a man needs to feel that he is in charge..that he is the man in the relationship and this means you have to respect his opinions, when you argue, don't talk back to him as if you were talking to a kid otherwise that will bruise his ego. Don't argue with him in front of his friends or in public. If he feels that he needs space and he needs to be alone, respect that and give him that space (we all need it from time to time). Respect his ability to provide or do something. Don't belittle him or compare him to someone else. He may not be the perfect man (believe me, there is no perfect man in this world) but he is your man and respect him for being that man. So ladies, you may add on to this chapter everything that you think a man needs to feel respected. And if he feels the respect that he needs from you, he will move mountains in your favour ;-) .
The KEY to a happy and healthy relationship is, Love and RESPECT. Let Love and respect be present in your relationship.

CURVILICIOUS..!

Curves, Curves, Curves!

Not so long ago, women were so pressured to be skinny..,because being skinny was sexy and if you have a few flash on your behind, you were considered to be FAT. Worse in the show business were you had a size 0 or whatever the smallest size there is to be considered sexy and beautiful. Women would do the impossible to actually be skinny and not to be called FAT. The catwalk models were the worse victims. I am curvilicious and i am an ex model so i know what i am taking about. I once heard some people calling me FAT from the audience when i was doing Miss Zambia Open University (it was a small pageant and the University had just been opened) some years back...,just because i had bigger curves than the rest of the girls...,that actually crushed me because back then i was weighing between 49 and 52kgs. My modelling       career didn't really go very far, but yeah..that was my experience. So yes, skinny was beauty. But today things have changed..

Hollywood is embarrassing curves and the whole industry is at the moment. We now models that are called the + Models...,these are models with curves and flesh on them. oh yeah, i can proudly say thank God for my curves. The industry is changing and the curvy women are making names for themselves in Hollywood for having the perfect bodies. And i would say there are women who are now going through a lot just to have some curves. we have women going surgeries...you know, putting silicon or whatever to enhance there hips and behinds...and we now have padded pants (scroll down and you will see a picture of them).

So, curvy ladies, lets embrace what God gave to us naturally. The A-List ladies like Beyonce, Tyra, Kim, JLo to mention but a few are doing it, lets join them and thank God for being curvilicious!

And if you are skinny or petite or whatever your body shape is..,be happy with it because as long as you are a woman, you are beautiful. Remember, women are the flowers of this world.

Thursday

A WOMAN OF STRENGTH.

A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape...
but a woman of strength kneels in prayer to keep her soul in shape.

A strong woman isn't afraid of anything...
but a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of fear.

A strong woman won't let anyone get the best of her...
but a woman of strength gives the best of her to everyone.

A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future...
a woman of strength realises life's mistakes can also be God's blessing
   and capitalises on them.

A strong woman walks sure footed...
but a woman of strength knows God will catch her when she falls.

A strong woman wears the look of confidence on her face...
but a woman of strength wears grace.

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey...
but a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that
   she will become strong.

Tuesday

LADIES, WHO ARE WE?!

Ladies, we were created as Super Women! We are strong, beautiful and we are not afraid of anything. We are the flowers of the world so it is said. we can feed the baby, talk on the phone, watch news and cook at the same time. We are Super Women by creation and that is never gonna change. But most of us don't actually know this fact. when it also comes to emotions, we are stronger than what we give ourselves credit for.

But even with this natural power that we have inside, most of us still don't know what we want. Care to ask yourself this question; WHAT DO I WANT? You will get answers within yourself as follows; marriage, family, kids, love, confidence, a new business, a new wardrobe, a car or a new car, friends, care, financial freedom, a house, success, a degree, travelling, new hair style etc. Take your time to discover yourself.

Just on this note; let me just say that most of us we are born originals but we die as copies (borrowed the words of John Mason), why is that? you may ask...,its because we don't know who we are and we live by what it is expected of us by society...,and sometimes we try to live other peoples lives. we copy their sense of fashion, we do what they do and if they post something on Facebook, we want to do the same too and if we see that they are living a certain lifestyle that we want...,we try to live that too.

Just discover yourself and know what you want from deep down your soul because that's what makes you YOU and that's what makes you unique and an ORIGINAL!

And whatever you want, no matter what it is, you can have it and you can be it.

SO, WHO ARE YOU LADY....?

Friday

LADIES..,YOUR PRECIOUS ROSE FLOWER AND YOU!..part two

While, I believe that the Virgina is the most precious and  the most sensitive part of a woman's body. God designed it in a way that it should clean itself just like the rest of the inside body e.g the skin, the tummy etc cleanses themselves so does the Precious Rose Flower...,Let me just borrow a paragraph from the professions..,just in case you disagree..,

Step away from the soap and harsh cleansers, gals. Your vagina keeps itself clean. “It’s lined by a variety of glands that produce the fluids needed to both lubricate and cleanse the vaginal area,” says Lisa Stern, APRN, a nurse practitioner who works with Planned Parenthood in Los Angeles. “The vast majority of vaginal infections I see in my office are self-induced—generally by women who think they’re doing a good thing by washing their vagina with soap and water, or worse, with douche.” Bath products, particularly those with chemical dyes or fragrances, can irritate the vagina and wash away the beneficial lubricants and flora (bacteria and yeast) that are normal and natural, she says. When these beneficial compounds get washed away, anaerobic bacteria and yeast proliferate and can cause symptoms like discharge, odour and itching. Lesson learned: While a little mild soap on the labia area is OK, your body does a fine job of keeping the insides clean.

Ladies, Have your say!!!

LADIES..,YOUR PRECIOUS ROSE FLOWER AND YOU!..part one

Ladies, we have been told so may things about our Flower. lots of myths too but there is just a few things that really bothers me and i would like to know if am the only one who is really bothered by the following things.

As African women and particularly Zambian women we are taught and told so many things about our Rose Flower. how we are to clean it and how to make it tight and feel small. People who teach us about these things do it with good intentions but the methods are what bothers me a bit. i will give you an example, there is this soap in Tanzania called the " Virgina soap" (someone once gave me some a few years ago,it looks suspicious. it doesn't even have a nice packaging). this soap is believed to reduce the size of your inside.., you have to inset it inside your Flower and let it stay in you for a few hours! ladies, this is a soap for God's sake...,its probably has never been clinically proven or anything like that. anyway, that's my opinion. we have people who insert ice-cubes and they insert all manner of things inside.

Am just wondering..., could these things we are busy inserting inside contribute to the Cervical Cancer that is rising among our women in our communities today? what do you.....? Have your SAY!

SUCCESS AND YOU part one

SUCCESS;

When you hear this word, your mind immediately races to MONEY. Yes, to most of us we link success to financial freedom or wealth but actually Success is more than that. I will try to write down what i understand about this great word. Actually my partner and i were just talking about it this morning and he said something that has stuck in my head about Success.

For me success is more than money and to be successful is more than just having a financial freedom or having wealth. Making other people happy and putting a smile on someones face is a success. being happy with yourself is a success, encouraging someone who is feeling low is also part of success, having a great and happy family is success, having a healthy relationship with people around you at work or school is success, the list is endless.

Lets look at the most people that we call "successful people", how many of them are actually happy? i am not going to mention any names...,do a survey yourselves but i will tell you one thing, only a few of these people are actually happy. For me you are not successful if you are miserable or if you make other people miserable no matter how much billions of dollars you are worthy. In this context, i say that being happy is the greatest success and happiness comes in many forms e.g doing something for someone like taking care of their dog, helping your parents with chores makes you happy then good ..that's great because not many people can do that.

SUCCESS IN BUSINESS

Just like i mentioned earlier.., success also means happiness. I believe that if you want to do a business and you want it to be a success, you should do a business that in lines with what makes you happy. for example if you love cooking, why don't you start a restaurant and give it all that you have. if you are a good singer, then sing. Basically we were all given some talents that we were born with by God, and these are the things that we enjoy doing everyday...,like singing, cooking, taking pictures, writing etc. Use that to become what you want to be. Let something that comes naturally to you bring you the success that you want.

And when it comes to business, don't underestimate the beginning. start from something small..,and start with what you have, it can not be much to some people but it is something to you. start with that and be happy with it. nature it and watch it grow..., that's your baby and once it grows and becomes visible to the world, you will be so proud and so happy and that is what i call success.
